Data controller

The data controller is Gabriel Segalla, owner of the sole proprietorship GDB TECH CREATIVE ELECTRONIC DESIGN DI SEGALLA GABRIEL, VAT no. 03910690233, Via Albere 23, Verona (VR), Italy. For information and requests concerning personal data, email info@gdbtech.com or call +39 3338012412.

Data and purposes

This website presents GDBtech’s activities and contact details. It has no contact forms, visitor accounts or IoT control features. When you email or call us, you may provide your name, contact details, project information and other data included in your enquiry. We use this information to respond and to manage any quotations and engagements. Please provide only the data needed for your enquiry.

Connecting to this website sends technical data to the server, such as your IP address, the resource requested, the date and time, and browser information. The hosting provider may process technical information in its logs to deliver the service, identify faults and prevent abuse. We do not use this data for profiling or advertising.

Legal bases and provision of data

Processing for quotation requests, pre-contractual steps requested by the data subject and performance of engagements is based on Article 6(1)(b) of the GDPR. Applicable legal obligations are covered by Article 6(1)(c). The management of other correspondence relevant to the business, and the operation and security of the website, are based on the controller’s legitimate interests under Article 6(1)(f), to the extent necessary for these purposes and taking account of data subjects’ rights.

Contacting us is voluntary. Without the necessary contact details and information, we may be unable to respond. Technical connection data is necessary to display the website. We do not carry out marketing through this website.

Recipients and services used

Data is accessible to the controller and, where necessary to handle the enquiry, to authorised personnel who have received instructions. Data may be disclosed to professional advisers and authorities where required for legal obligations or the protection of rights. We do not make the data of people who contact us publicly available.

The website is hosted by Aruba S.p.A. The info@gdbtech.com mailbox is managed by Microsoft following the transfer of the service from GoDaddy. These providers process data to deliver their respective services under the applicable contractual terms and data processing documentation. They act as data processors when processing on behalf of the controller; any purposes they pursue independently are described in their own privacy notices.

GoDaddy manages the gdbtech.com domain. This notice concerns www.gdbtech.it; management of the .com domain is separate from the storage of email messages.

Retention

Since 3 October 2026, we have adopted a policy of deleting email enquiries that do not lead to an engagement within 12 months of the enquiry being closed, unless legal obligations or disputes justify longer retention. For correspondence concerning engagements, the retention period depends on performance of the relationship, applicable documentation obligations and the period needed to protect rights. Any further retention is limited to data relevant to those needs.

Technical hosting logs follow the service’s rotation and retention periods and any obligations applicable to the provider; the controller does not use them to generate visitor statistics. Backup copies may remain until they are overwritten or reach their technical expiry date. You can contact the controller for information on the periods applicable to backups and logs.

International transfers

Aruba states that it provides its hosting service from its Italian data centres. Using Microsoft services may involve processing outside the European Economic Area. For the business services concerned, Microsoft provides the safeguards described in its data processing agreement, including standard contractual clauses where applicable. We do not assume that all processing by a provider takes place in Italy or the European Union. You can ask the controller for information on the applicable safeguards.

Documentation: Aruba and the GDPR; Microsoft data processing agreement; Microsoft standard contractual clauses.

Your rights

Where provided for by the GDPR, you may request access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing and data portability. You may object to processing based on legitimate interests on grounds relating to your particular situation. Email info@gdbtech.com: we will respond within the GDPR time limits, normally within one month. We may ask only for the information needed to verify the requester’s identity.

You may lodge a complaint with the Italian Data Protection Authority (Garante per la protezione dei dati personali). This website does not make automated decisions with legal or similarly significant effects and does not carry out profiling.

This notice will be updated if the website’s features or the services used change.
